My most recent piece for the Sonic Router is up now: An interview with Swedish analogue kosmiche outfit Roll the Dice. They have an inspired new album out on Leaf next week followed closely by a show at Cafe Oto in London - and on the basis of the interview, it should really be one far out event.

VIDEO: Roll The Dice - In Dust

Roll the Dice trail their forthcoming album In Dust, with a teaser video directed by Frode Fjerdingstad featuring words written by Rory Gibb ( DiS / Sonic Router / Always Everything ) narrated by the gravel voiced Paul Bolderson and backed by some cinematic granite heavy drone from the duo.  The result is a cross between Godspeed and a gritty Western, coupled with the visuals that illustrate and reinforce both those comparisons again.

VIDEO: Roll The Dice - Undertow (live)

This track and video from the Swedish duo of Peder Mannerfelt and Malcolm Pardon, Roll The Dice has been doing the blog and magazine rounds, with good reason; featuring a member of the Fever Ray live band and sounding like one of Emeralds' glittering nebulae is bound to get you noticed. At a nice full-length 15 minutes there definitely enough space for you to find your own place in the grand scheme of this piece, building to a satisfying pay-off.

Roll The Dice (shit name, but never mind) have a sold out their first 12"'on Digitalis, but album is still available on digital formats from the likes of Boomkat.
