VIDEO: Tearist - a of n

Here's a video I've been after for ages, but only just turned up now - any recorded Tearist track would be great, but this one especially might be my favourite of their 2009 CDr....for now.  It keeps changing, and I'm not complaining; each of the tracks on it is mesmerising in it's own way - similar to to effect Crystal Castles had on me when I first heard them; there's something dangerous and loose about this ordeal, and it's boy/girl, and she's up front - right up front in yr face.  Comparable to White Ring in the Witch House scene, and Souxie & The Banshees outside of it - bit dark, steely and aggressive.  Watch and listen, loudly.

FFFF - Tearist - Live smashing, beats, strobes and freaky dancing

This Friday's Fast and Furious Friday Feature belongs to Tearist. Los Angeles based duo of William & Yasim who fall into the impending genre of Witch House by virtue of their darkened electro and penchant for being a little bit scary - see Yasmine's provocative dancing as evidence. Not quite the smashing-kids-in-the-face-with-a-headstock that we saw from Crystal Castles , but still, they do actually smash stuff loop it and kick it into their live sets, so that's taking things to the next level if you ask us.

According to they myspazz they sound like:

Roars
Whispers
Murders
Humming
Shattering
Pounding

We're not arguing.
